At Route 40 Soup Company we make fabulous hand crafted soups and unique, delicious artisan ice creams. Our food is inspired by local, seasonal ingredients that are sourced from local farms and foragers.

Route 40 Soup Co. is the creation of Mark and Lanny Klaudt, and came about on a wonderful day in the hills of Highwood Pass just off of Highway 40 in Kananaskis. Mark explains, “We were on a hunt for wild berries and edible plants, and you must remember the bears - they are always somewhere. Then in mid stride it came to me, a culinary experience is like a highway excursion; it is almost always eagerly anticipated, you can find new and exciting things along the way, and finally it can create an experience that lasts a lifetime. Well Dear Guests, we are ready to share the Alberta countryside with you. Get ready for a culinary trip to remember.”
